Parish Food Bank Appeal you may have read in The Howick and Pakuranga Times, that the Salvation Army food bank in Howick is closing. This will put additional pressure on the St Vincent de Paul food bank that runs out of the bottom of our Parish Centre at our Church in Picton Street. The food bank currently runs low each week, so extra items are greatly appreciated at this time. You and your family are welcome to pop items in the yellow bins just inside the office door here at school, either at pick-up or drop off, and we will transport them to the food bank – many thanks on behalf of our St Vincent de Paul food bank for your ongoing support of this important Christian Outreach activity in our community.

2-Minute Fridays Parenting Video! Hurry is The Enemy of Love
Kia ora e te whānau,
Here is this weeks 2-Minute Friday Parenting Video —a quick and easy way to share valuable parenting tips with our community!
How it works:
Every Friday during the school term, you’ll receive a bite-sized 2-minute parenting video created by Rob Cope at Our Kids Online. These videos are designed to be quick, fun and practical!
This week –
Hurry is the Enemy of Love.
Sometimes, in the mad rush to get out the door, patience and kindness slip through my fingers. My own anxieties about being late can turn into frustration, spilling over onto my kids in ways I never intended.
It’s wild how often the smallest moments leave me feeling completely overwhelmed.
Parenting is a relentless lesson in slowing down, in choosing connection over urgency. And honestly? I get it wrong pretty much every day. But I’m still here, showing up, battling through, learning to navigate my own emotions—so I can help my children understand theirs. Because if love is the goal, then slowing down is the way.
