We look forward to welcoming all students and families back on site on Monday 2 May.  You will have seen our Covid Orange Traffic Light procedures sent out to you earlier today.  Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the contents. You are welcome to walk your children into the playground on Monday morning, masks are not compulsory for students at Orange, however we strongly encourage their use.

Winter Uniform – Term 2 is the change of season for students wearing the winter uniform.  This includes school regulation socks and school regulation plain, flat, black lace up shoes. (Students in Year 1 and 2 can wear shoes with velcro straps).  Students can wear either long or short sleeve shirts.  Undershirts/garments must NOT be seen above the neckline. Regulation jumpers can be worn.  Jackets may be worn to school but must not be worn in the classroom.  As the weather is changeable students can be in either summer or winter uniform, but must be in full winter uniform by Monday 16 May.

Uniform shop Open – Thursday’s from 8.15am – 8.45am and 2.30pm – 3.00pm.   All adults must wear a facemask into the shop and only one family at a time.  Please wait outside the shop.  As the shop may be busy for the new term, online orders are still accepted to be processed and delivered to student’s classroom.  Order form and payment details on the website under “School Information”.

Park and Walk – Please help us reduce congestion around our school gates by encouraging your children to use the “Park and Walk” initiative that is beginning on Day 1 of Term 2.

As detailed in a previous newsletter drop your children off from 8.15am on Orangewood Drive either side of Oakridge Way and encourage them to walk safely into school. Our patrols will be in operation to help students cross the road safely. Students will receive a walking ticket from one of our student leaders that will be clicked when they enter the school gate. When a student has walked 25 times into school they will receive a prize for their efforts. Please help us keep our students safe around our school gates by reducing the traffic that flows past them. We look forward to your support.
