On Thursday 2nd March, many students were pumped up and ready for our school swimming sports. The minute we arrived at Shelly Park School, we all sat in our designated area and prepared to race.

The first race was 50 metre boys freestyle race for 10 year olds. Everybody cheered for their own House in hopes of winning. And so it went, the race was on. It was House vs House. It went from friendly competition to healthy competition.

Throughout the afternoon, the points were recorded on a whiteboard. As each race was completed, the points kept getting higher.

The House Relays were the finale of the day. Everything was silent, waiting for the starter. “Bang” the final race had begun.

As the race progressed, the crowd went wild. It was a fierce battle, yet only one House could become the winner.

The winner… Barbier with McAuley second, Maher third and Garin fourth.

What an exciting day!
