This week – I Give My Kids Lines for Swearing!
“I will only use beautiful uplifting words”
If you’ve been to one of my talks, you’ll know I swear, but I don’t want my kids to swear while they’re young. It’s just a personal thing. Maybe you don’t mind your kids swearing and that’s totally cool too. Your house, your rules.
Washing a kid’s mouth out with soap is not a great approach — it’s mean, it’s a battle, and honestly, it’s over way too quickly.
Lines, though? Lines take ages to write out, and that’s the whole point — it works. Our kids still don’t swear at home because they know they’ll be writing for a good long while if they do! “I will only use beautiful uplifting words”
