This week –

Understanding our Kids Triggers and Responses

Every child experiences the world differently—what deeply affects one may not even register for another. Their reactions to challenges vary just as much. My job is to help them navigate those moments, transforming overwhelming emotions into manageable ones, so they feel empowered instead of helpless.

But sometimes, before I can do that, I need to calm myself first—step outside, take a deep breath, and reset—so I don’t spill my own unregulated emotions onto them. Because the best way to guide a child through their storm is to make sure I’m not caught in one myself!
