As part of our Christian Witness Outreach our school Lenten challenge – FLOOD the FOODBANK with AROHA continues.
Each week during the season of Lent we ask families to kindly donate non-perishable food items or essential household items. These items will be collected from the classroom and taken to our parish food bank to support those in need.
Non-perishable food eg. cereal, crackers, rice, noodles
Essential household items eg. soap, toilet paper, shampoo, baby nappies, dishwashing liquid, washing powder
Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul society runs the parish foodbank. Their vision is to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society.
We too can live the gospel message by giving to others less fortunate than ourselves. One small act of kindness can make a real difference.
“Charity is the cement which binds Communities to God and persons to one another…” St. Vincent de Paul
Lunch Orders: Because of lack of orders for Wednesday Subway – the only lunch day will now be Sushi on Fridays.
