2023 Updates

Parish Sacramental Programme
Enrolments for our parish Sacramental Programme are open from Saturday January 28 until Sunday 19 February. The programme is open for children in Years 4 – 6 who have been Baptised and are yet to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion. New P.E. uniform
We are excited to share with you our new P.E. uniform, available from the end of February.  We have maintained the same colour top and added a coloured band on the sleeve corresponding with our four House colours.  The new fabric is hard wearing,  moisture wicking and quick drying.   The new PE shorts are in the same new fabric and have a very small school monogram ‘pip’ label on the bottom of one leg.  Orders can be made now using the uniform order form CLICK HERE.

NOTE:  We have a two year turn-around period for the adoption of the new PE uniform.  The old style PE uniform can still be worn until the beginning of the 2025 school year.

School Lunches
School lunches will be available to order again in 2023 from dollar for schools.  Lunch ordering will commence on  Wednesday the 15th February.  Lunch orders will only be available on Wednesdays and Fridays this year.

Lewis Eady Music School Lessons – Tutors from Lewis Eady require a minimum of 2 hours teaching time to make lessons in our school viable.  If you are interested, here is the information again.

Lewis Eady Music School is proud to partner with Our Lady Star of the Sea School to deliver fun and engaging music lessons.    Group and individual lessons on Piano and Keyboard, Guitar and Music Jam take place at the school each week on Thursdays during school.   Fees (based on a 10-week term): $400 for individual lessons (suitable for students who have prior musical knowledge and wish to make fast progress), $175 for group lessons (a fun and social way to get started on a musical instrument).   Term 1 lessons start from week commencing 7 February (pending enrolment numbers).

• School resumes for the 2023 year.  We welcome returning and new students for an 8.45 am start to class.  All students will be wearing their summer uniform including hats and sandals.   It would be a good idea to apply sunblock before coming to school and remember to bring a drink bottle of water.

Thursday 02.02.2023

• On Thursday 2nd February we are hosting a Meet the Teacher and Welcome Picnic.  This begins at 5.30pm in the hall for all parents and students  with staff introductions  and our  strategic direction will be shared.  Teachers will then be in their classroom until 6.15pm for you and your child to pop in, have your child show you around and say ‘Hi’ before heading up to the field for our Welcome Picnic. The PTA will be providing a free sausage sizzle and you can purchase an iceblock and drinks. The waterslide will be open from 6.15pm to 7.30pm for the children to enjoy. Please feel free to bring your own picnic food as well. We look forward to seeing you then.
