Monday 18 October

Welcome back to Term 4.  As we are still in Level 3 we will commence our term under Emergency School Led Learning from Home as we await confirmation of any alert level changes.

Once again we thank all of our community for their active support of the emergency school led learning from home programme which our teachers will provide again from Monday.

October is the month of the Rosary.

The Rosary is a simple prayer, a prayer we say together with Our Lady. It tells the story of Jesus’ life in four parts:

The Joyful Mysteries focus on Jesus’ birth and early life;

The Sorrowful Mysteries focus on His suffering and death;

The Glorious Mysteries focus on Jesus’ resurrection and the promise of heaven;

The Luminous Mysteries focus on His ministry here on earth.

Many Catholics have memories of saying the Rosary as a family during their childhood. Gifting children with memories of family prayer time is a beautiful thing. It is a strong sign of faith and hope.

NZ Catholic’s staff, working from home, have produced another digital issue.

Some headlines for the latest issue: Marist ordination in Richmond. Three transitional deacons ordained in Christchurch. Catholic agency is social housing provider. Veteran Catholic headmaster calls it a day. Synod preparations in NZ dioceses.
