End of Term 3

What a term we have navigated together!
With learning being undertaken from home for the last 6 1/2 weeks, we are all feeling the effects of this Covid lockdown. Like me, I am sure you are all looking forward to the next two weeks of school holiday break.
Online learning will not be available over the school holidays, with our staff taking a well earned break from posting learning and feeding back to students online.
I am sure you will join me in a HUGE thank you to our staff for their tireless efforts in their response to this crisis pandemic situation. I have heard nothing but praise from families for the commitment and additional effort taken by our teachers to adapt learning programmes for a home setting.
I wish to also thank every family in our community for adapting as best as you can to the additional demands that emergency school led learning from home has brought into your households. This has been a very challenging time for many and we are so grateful to you all for your efforts in supporting the learning programmes that have been sent home.
With case numbers still jumping around, it will be interesting to see what happens over our school holiday period in terms of the shifting of alert levels.
We will be in touch with information related to the start of the school term (which is on Monday 18th October) as the holidays progress and alert level shifts become clearer.
In the meantime, have a well-deserved rest over the holidays.

Proclaiming the Word

Twelve senior students competed in our annual school ‘Proclaiming the Word’ scripture competition via zoom. They all put a lot of effort into the preparation for this competition and can hold their heads high.

Ni hao, we hope you all have enjoyed this year’s Chinese Language Week.
This year we were challenged to try “Five days, five phrases”, practicing everyday basic conversation starters.
Mrs Bell has created a wonderful dashboard on the Information Centre portal for us all to explore and discover new learningabout Chinese language and culture.  Head over to our school website, scroll down and click on the Information Centre button which will take you directly to the dashboard.

Term 4

commences on Monday 18 October.  Students can start wearing summer uniform and must be in correct full summer uniform by Monday 1 November.

Kind regards,
Louise
