Term 3 – Week 5

We will continue to keep you informed as changes occur throughout the week.

Some messages below from our Parish Priests:

(a)   we have decided to POSTPONE the Parish Feastday Soup & Rolls Evening which was to take place this Saturday night after the 6.30 pm Mass.   When things settle down we will choose another date.
(b)   we have decided to POSTPONE the Blessing of the outdoor Grotto of Our Lady which was to take place at the end of the 9.30 am Mass this Sunday.   For their own safety under Alert Level 3 the workmen ceased working last night and will complete the Grotto when it is safe to do so.   We will find another appropriate Sunday as soon as we are able.

(c)  We have decided that,  just to be safe,  we will NOT have the Youth Group meeting scheduled for this Sunday from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm.  As soon as we can we will gather our Youth Group again but prudently it is best to postpone this Sunday’s meeting until a better time.
(d)  Confirmation and First Holy Communion were due to take place from Friday- Sunday (21-23 August) but this MAY have to change.  I have advised all the parents of the children in this year’s Sacramental Programme that we will make a final decision THIS MONDAY (17th August) on whether to proceed or postpone, depending on the Government’s announcement today.

Looking Ahead

  • Sunday 23 August – Alpha Programme starts with a dinner in the Parish Centre at 7 p.m. Our cooks will prepare a scrumptious meal; you may meet fellow parishioners you didn’t know before & learn their names; we tell you what Alpha is all about & answer questions; and invite you to the next programme.  See you there; Bring a friend.  Fr Terry.
