I’m so proud of this group of 30 kids who I’m lucky enough to spend most days with. They have taken on our School Kit and Student Volunteer Army project with enthusiasm and drive. Our event day is this Friday, so I pledged our hours so far today, and I’m excited to say that with just 30 kids and Mrs Brooke and myself we have pledged 192+ hours with Serve For NZ. That’s not even counting the endless hours that members of our school, parish and community have put into this project!!
By midway through next term, our squares will hopefully have been put together to create a number of blankets for new refugee families in Auckland. We are proud to invite these new families into New ZealAnd and say ‘Welcome Home – Nau Mai Rā’.
Please feel free to join us to celebrate this Friday from 12 – 2.30 in the school hall.
Can we do more of these they are so fun, and thank you Miss Sheffield for letting us be able to do these. And for making them so fun.
Making these squares was a really fun thing to do.
A Great learning experience for all of us
