Taking Shelter
The thunder rolled in and lightning crashed. Dylan sat comfortably on a stump of a tree. This clever little monkey got a mighty leaf to cover his body. But still he continued to sit comfortably on the stump of a tree. Looking out into the far deep rainforest, wondering when this storm would finish. But this was only the beginning.

Pitter patter, plops as the rain fell from the dark gloomy sky. The rain hit me on the head. I’m all cold and sticky. I crawled a little higher up the big brown tree. I found lots of big leaves that were perfect for protection. As I pulled up the the leaf the storm raged louder. I hugged my legs tight and close to my chest. All I could hear now was my heart pumping and the storm screaming.

In the soggy wet rainforest Dylan was sitting on a dirty log covered in a soggy wet leaf. The rain was very loud, almost as loud as a scream. He was very happy in his happy place. But he wondered when the rain would stop.
