Mercy Day is celebrated September 24 each year. It is a day we remember the work of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy. In the lead up to this day, buddy classes have undertaken acts of kindness around the school and community in different ways. Rooms 3 and 14 decided to give our neighbours a ‘cup of tea’ as a thank you for looking after the school when the children aren’t here.
We posted a letter in a letter box. The letter was saying thank you to our neighbours for being our neighbours. We drew a cup on the inside of the card and put a teabag inside it. We want our neighbours to have a nice cup of tea and think of us.
