Kate Smeath presented the results of our survey on proposed options for the use of our community funds.  We received a fantastic 270 responses with 135 of these coming in on the first day of the survey. This means that well over ¾ of all families at our school have had a say on the use of our funds. The survey results reveal an overwhelming preference to use our community funds for an archgola with 71% of all respondents rating this as their preferred choice and 95% agreeing that an archgola would provide a significant benefit for our children and our school community. 13% of all respondents ranked a chapel as their preferred alternative while 9% chose opening up the junior classrooms and 7% opening up the senior classrooms as their first choice. Comments in support of an archgola noted that an archgola would enable our children to get outside on wet days, would enable our children to get fresh air and engage in physical activity all year round, would allow school sports teams to train in all weathers, would provide protection from the sun on hot summer days and would benefit the whole school community. Your Board has posted Kate’s powerpoint summary of the key findings of the survey on our school website.
