Koanga Festival 2011
Spring Festival

Our school Kapa Haka group performed with great pride at the annual Koanga Festival held this year at Somerville Intermediate. The students practised for many hours and were tutored by Whaea Carolyn Pou, Miss Sheffield and Mrs Fairweather. Many thanks to Mr Ken Baird, our school caretaker, for making the  'patu' for the group to use in the performance. The girls showed their skills with both long and short poi. Each performing school was presented with a seedling  to plant in their school grounds and a certificate of appreciation.
