During Term 1 all the students from Years 3 to 6 chose a dance group they would like to join as part of The Arts Programme. There was a choice of cultural dance groups as well as Liturgical dance, Folk dance and a Special Choir Group. With the wonderful support of very talented parents and staff, the children were taught an item which they then presented to the school at a special occasion on 11 April. The Hawaiian, Croatian, Filipino, Chinese and Pasifika dance groups represented our school at the HPPA Cultural Festival which was hosted by Our Lady Star of the Sea school on 7 April. This was a wonderful experience for all our students and was relevant to the learning that was happening round the Culture and Heritage Concept for our first semester.
