During Semester One we have been studying our culture and how this has been handed down to us by our ancestors.

After almost two terms of great learning about our own culture and the culture of the first people who came to Aotearoa, we have developed an understanding of the importance of recognising our own cultural identity and looking at how this contributes to New Zealand as it is today.
Pentecost is a feast in the Church's calendar when we celebrate the cultural diversity of our Church. The Holy Spirit came down on the Apostles and gave them the gift of preaching to all the people of the world no matter what language, culture or creed they were. We chose to use this feast to celebrate our learning of Culture and Heritage.
